Score Problem Not Showing on Skyward Report Card
If we generate report cards on Skyward, sometimes we found some errors. I choose one error that has many reasons, why this error appears. The error is the score for subjects is not showing on the report card.
Below is the list of solutions that might help you.
- Check Gradebook – Entity Group Configuration – Grading Scale, choose the grading scale that you are using, and click the arrow button.
Click courses, then choose the course grading scale group that you are using, and click the arrow button.
On the update filter icon, click to add the subject that the score is not showing on the report card. - Check Gradebook - Entity Group Configuration - Calculation Group. Choose the Calculation Group that you are using right now. Click the arrow button , and then choose Courses. Check on the list of subjects, and make sure that the subject that you looking for is there.
If you can’t find it, you must add the subject through Update Filter on the upper right corner. Then expand the Advanced Filter and click the “funnel” icon. Then add the subject. - Remove Unused Grading Scales, if you have unused grading scales that related to subject that the scores not showing on report card. Then remove the grading scales through menu Gradebook - Utilities - Mass Delete Section Grading Scales.
Choose Grading Scale that have Grading Scale Type ( Multiple ). Be Carefull , when you do this process, choose only Subject that has a problem. - Recalculate Gradebooks. Sometimes, if you change the setting like steps 1 and 2, you have to recalculate the Gradebook with Menu Gradebook – Recalculate Gradebooks, to show the scores related to subjects.
I found one problem that caused the score did not appear on the report card. And the solution is similar like solution number 1, which is to remove and add subjects. It's very difficult to check a case like this because when you check all setting(grading scale, calculation group,etc) is looking good and nothing goes wrong but the score won't show up on the report card.
Go to Gradebook – Entity Group Configuration – Grading Scale, then click Course, choose the grading scale group that you are using, click the arrow button, and at the right corner click Update Filter. Then remove the subject that has a problem, and click Save. After that repeat all those steps but to adding the subject that you remove before.
The last case is, when you process report cards, some students cannot be processed. it looks confusing, but when you check through View Query on result report card windows.
You can analyze that the problem comes from incomplete student data, that is parent's data. So, the solution is to complete student data and you can process all of those students. it usually happened from a new student, that has incomplete student data.
