How to Make Custom Sort Subject on the Skyward Report Card


Today, I will share some tips about Skyward. If you don’t know about Skyward, you can see it here. On Skyward at the end of term. We always make a report card for students, report card contain list of subject, but sometime we need to sort list of subject in specific sort or custom sort. So, I will tell you how to make a custom sort on the Skyward report card.

Step 1 : You must have a grouping plan for all subjects that you want to sort on the view report card.                 For Example : 

                Group 1 : English A / Indonesian A

                Group 2: Indonesian B/ English B/ Spanish AB

                Group 3: BM/PSYCHOLOGY/ECO

                Group 4: ESS/PHY/BIO/CHEMISTRY

                Group 5: Mathematics

                Group 6: Visual Art

Step 2 : Go to Menu Scheduling – Course and click Arrow Button. Go to General - Course Type, then you can choose the grouping number referred to your grouping plan in Step 1.



Step 3 : Go to Menu Report Manager, choose Report that you want to edit, and click Design Report. You can select which section where the subjects show. Add the Course Type Code field on the row section and then hide. 


To set the sort, you can click up and down arrow button ( Section Sort ). And you can select Course Type ( ASC ) and check the Keep Together Option.

Step 4 : Save The Report Design, and then Unpublish and re-Publish again the Report to applied the changes.
